An Experimental Study on Multiscale Conductivity of Shale Fracturing

Abstract Volumetric fracturing is an effective way to develop shale oil. Fracturing forms a complex system of fractures various scales that can be divided into micro-fractures, secondary fractures, and primary fractures. To improve the conductivity multiscale in volumetric Jimsar oil, experiments were performed under such conditions as rough without proppant placement, with straight discontinuous sanding, thereby studying change law fracture at scales. According results, micro-fracture largely affected by roughness face; placing proppants significantly increase fractures; condition sanding highly sensitive stress; area 40% show best conductivity.
